How old does my child have to be to begin classes?

ITD accepts children age 2 and up.

 

How do I know what classes to take?

Depending on your interests the Director will help decide which class(es)may benefit your dancer most according to skill level and experience.

 

When is the dance season?

We follow the school calendar including holidays and breaks.

 

My daughter is 9 years old, and this will be her first year in dance class. Will she be in a “beginner” class with much younger students?

No, she will be enrolled in a class with students her own age group. Our classes are designed to work and challenge new and experienced dancers.

 

What days and time are classes offered?

We operate weekdays beginning after school and extending through the evenings. Private coaching and workshops are held on weekends.

 

Am I allowed to watch my dancer in class?

All classes are closed for viewing so that teachers and students can focus without distractions. We find this to be the most beneficial for our students and the class. Observation days are scheduled throughout the dance season.

 

Are there any performances or recitals?

Yes, ITD participates in community & special events, competition and an annual recital to showcase our students accomplishments.
